If you're looking for information on what other people are saying about this new web technology called uconnect web, you're not alone. I've been doing the same. This Uconnect Web in-car internet technology will be a big hit come August 2008 when Chrysler rolls out all their brand new 2009 Chrysler cars.

It's hard to come real good assessments of the goods and bads of this 3G slash Wi-fi technolgy but hear these bloggers out. They got some cool insights on it.

1. The Third Pipe - dishes out the boon or bane of Uconnect web. Advantages are primarily focused on fuel-efficiency possibilities, real-time traffic monitoring and marketing opportunities for Uconnect Web.

2. Arstechnica.com - reviews are focused on the entertainment geared towards the family's driving or road trip experience. This one is a nice story, "Never talk again on family vacations."

 3. Hidstores.com - Presents a cool Uconnect web preview exploring the possibilities of gadget integration for the Uconnect Web system.

Frankly, apart from the seemingly tasteless name Mopar gave their new product offered for 2009 Chryslers, it should be interesting to see how new car buyers will react to this upgrade. It will also be interesting to see if Chrysler can turn out the big sales they are expecting for their new car models this August. Rising price of gas is one huge challenge today's consumers are facing. It remains to be seen if people are going to bite on this and Chrysler's plan's pan out.

This coming August 2008, car and web enthusiasts will be treated to their ultimate fantasy; being able to surf the internet while in their cars. On top of the connectivity, they will also be able to use a wide range of wi-fi capable gadgets and share media over the internet while on the road.

Chrysler will be launching UCONNECTWEB with their roll-out of the 2009 Series of Chrysler model automobiles. Uconnectweb is an option for car-buyers of 2009 Chrysler vehicles.

Uconnectweb is a set-up of wi-fi router which is connected online through 3g mobile technology, the vaunted fastest wireless connection in the U.S. Via the installed router, devices like laptop computers and other wi-fi capable gadgets like mobile phones, digital cameras, gaming consoles and PDA's will be able to share information anywhere the car may be. The best thing about this capability is that multiple users can connect at the same time. Dad can send files through his laptop, while kid sister sends pictures to friends from her digital camera and junior downloads his iTunes to his iPod, all at the same time.

This wireless internet connectivity will be available in 2009 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep sold in the U.S. The hardware is a buyer option that is dealership installed. Mopar, Chrysler's manufacturer of this car accessory, estimates this add-on will cost around $450 excluding dealership installation fees.

Most car enthusiast are pretty excited about this technology and hope that this new experience will change their internet lifestyles and keep connected with everyone even when on the road where they are typically "offline."
